Just a note!

I just love how this card turned out!  I used We R Memory Keepers "Anthologie" papers and stamps to create it and it was the feature make and take at Paper Studio back in April.  It's amazing how quickly time flies!

The main focal image of the flower is actually part of one of the papers in the collection!  This collection has been one of the best in a long time IMHO.

The sentiment is from this Penny Black set:

Hope you have a crafty day!

Just Graduated!

I wanted to scrap my middle son's graduation announcement before we got to far off and I forgot about it! :)

I used a sketch from Scrapbooks and Cards Today and did a post on it for Paper Studio.

I wanted to use scraps from some of my favorite papers at work, so I have G45 and Teresa Collins along with Bazzill Basics.  We also just got in the new Hexagon Die-Namics from My Favorite Things (LOVE this die!!!!) and I wanted to do something with it.  Since I can't use much "froo froo" (embellishments) on his pages, I stuck with the hexagon shapes.

I think I will use this sketch again sometime in the future.  Here is the original sketch from the spring 2012 bonus sketches on the SCT site:

Just a quick card

I needed to come up with a quick make and take for Paper Studio, Inc. last week, so this is what I did:

Card designed by Deanna Dark

I used We R Memory Keeper's Anthologie Collection.  The sentiment is from Penny Black Stamps and I used a Fiskars Border Punch on the dark brown paper.

I like the little pops of red on the right side of the dp to give it a little punch of color.

This was a very easy card to make.  No layers, just three paper pieces and ribbon.  Stamp your sentiment and it is good to go!

Have a good day!

Just Had to Have a go at it...

I saw a tutorial for this card on Facebook and just had to try it!

I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks Limited Edition in Fall.  The color names are shown in the photos.  Take a look:

The stamps used were:  Flamboyant (Penny Black) and Sentiment from Inspired by Flowers #1 (My Favorite Things).

I really like how they turned out and plan on making another set with the Spring Colors Tim Holtz recently released!

I may turn this into a class this summer at Paper Studio......check back and see.  (Click HERE to see the current class offerings for June at Paper Studio.)

Have a good day! :)

Where are my Stripes?

Micaela challenged all of us to make a card using Fiskars Scallop Banner Punch, the paper collection we picked for the store and to follow a particular favorite card we got from My Favorite Things.

Here is what everyone else came up with:

Joanna Carlson

Micaela Inman

Misty Valadez

Of course, I waited until last!  I was stumped.......my collection does not have stripes or polka dots!  What's a girl to do?  Improvise?  Get Creative?  Yep!  That is just what I did!

Here's my creation:

Deanna Dark

What do you think?  We all did a great job!  I hope Micaela has us do this again in the future!

Scrapping up Memories!

Today I would like to share with you a page I did using an old (Fall of 2010) Becky Fleck sketch she shared on the Scrapbooks and Cards Today site.

Here's the Sketch:

 And now for my page:

I have so very few GOOD pictures...I just love these of my kids on a particularly special camping trip we enjoyed with my husband's family.

Hakhavsuwa is Yavapai for Fossil Creek....where we camped in Arizona.

I used We R Memory Keepers Anthologie, Bazzill Basics Rain Forest, May Arts Ribbon, Hero Arts Flowers, and Bo Bunny Buttons.

Have a good weekend.
