Just a note!

I just love how this card turned out!  I used We R Memory Keepers "Anthologie" papers and stamps to create it and it was the feature make and take at Paper Studio back in April.  It's amazing how quickly time flies!

The main focal image of the flower is actually part of one of the papers in the collection!  This collection has been one of the best in a long time IMHO.

The sentiment is from this Penny Black set:

Hope you have a crafty day!

Just Had to Have a go at it...

I saw a tutorial for this card on Facebook and just had to try it!

I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks Limited Edition in Fall.  The color names are shown in the photos.  Take a look:

The stamps used were:  Flamboyant (Penny Black) and Sentiment from Inspired by Flowers #1 (My Favorite Things).

I really like how they turned out and plan on making another set with the Spring Colors Tim Holtz recently released!

I may turn this into a class this summer at Paper Studio......check back and see.  (Click HERE to see the current class offerings for June at Paper Studio.)

Have a good day! :)

Where are my Stripes?

Micaela challenged all of us to make a card using Fiskars Scallop Banner Punch, the paper collection we picked for the store and to follow a particular favorite card we got from My Favorite Things.

Here is what everyone else came up with:

Joanna Carlson

Micaela Inman

Misty Valadez

Of course, I waited until last!  I was stumped.......my collection does not have stripes or polka dots!  What's a girl to do?  Improvise?  Get Creative?  Yep!  That is just what I did!

Here's my creation:

Deanna Dark

What do you think?  We all did a great job!  I hope Micaela has us do this again in the future!

More projects from work--Cosmo Cricket

I love Cosmo Cricket!  All the lines I have been able to create with produce some of my favorite cards.

I have to admit that I did not know what to do with Togetherness--here is what I came up with...and turned it into a class for Paper Studio in Minocqua, Wisconsin.

The card above is called a Never-ending Card.  Love how it flips and LOVE how CC Togetherness was just perfect for the card.

My absolute favorite line by CC is no more!!
(Actually, I have two absolute favorites that are no more.  I took to long to get into the paper crafting hobby!)

They were Fluerista and Wanted.

I think CC still does the 6 x 6 pads of Wanted.

Anywhooooooo.....here are samples of a card class I did in November for Paper Studio.

I have a few Tri-fold Cards using Fluerista...but alas....no pictures.  I will have to save it for another post.

Hope you enjoyed the peak into my CC cards.

Until we blog again,

Deanna

Work projects

Just a quick post with some pics of what I have been doing at work.
The page below used elements and paper from Panorama from Making Memories.

This page was created from Bella Blvd Socialite Collection.  Look for a future post with cards and a "Girl's Nights" Board Book!

I will be adding more pics soon and maybe some details!

Enjoy,
Deanna
